I'm waiting every 10K to change mine but I have a diesel. When I had my hemi I was doing it every 4K. The viscosity of synthetic blend oils hold longer than regular oils and I forgot what my Hemi manual read but I seem to remember my first suggested oil change was higher than I expected. One of the Hemi guys will chime in soon.

I've been doing 6500 on dino oil, but I just switched to synthetic, I intend on doing 8000 - 100000 depending on the temps and what I tow.

I just changed mine at 7500 with 19% oil life left. It was the first time that I ever did my own oil change and the old oil was pretty black. I used Red line 5-20 synthetic and a Royal purple filter and I hope to get about 12000 before I change it again. The hemi seems to be smother and quieter and I feel very good about it.

Personal perf, I'd use synthetic and go 10k mikes unless severe duty. But please use quality filter. Don't go cheap on that, especially if extended interval.
Eco diesel is already synthetic and 10k.

I change my oil at around 30%. My Mechanic buddy doesn't recommend going much past that. Its usually around 6,000 Miles.

i would change mine at like 30% personally. For me i dont beat my truck up i just Daily Drive it, but with the extreme heat here in Vegas and always running the AC and what not i would rather error on the side of caution.

I've always changed my oil at 7,000-7,500 miles. I always use synthetic oil.

This is what I do. I use the best filter I can with synthetic oil and change it when it tells me to.

I got offered that with my dealer but I didn't take it. I worked at a quickie lube joint when I was younger. Lets just say I have a unique perspective and I prefer to do my own maintenance.

So I'm guessing me using synthetic and changing it every 5k miles would be a waste of money? The changing it every 5k that is, not the synthetic. Sounds like I can run it to 7k with no problems then unless I'm working it hard.

Sent from the past five days ago in the future just now.

I change mine every 5k no matter what the oil change indicator tells me. I use synthetic oil too.
Driving back and forth to work in some stop and go traffic, along with shirt trips in town here and there.

I hear that. The dealer said they have an actual mechanic doing them because they have so many to do a day and customers get hot under the collar if they have to wait for a simple oil change. I also have a habit of always strolling into the garages if work is ever done on my cars.....

So I went in today to get my "free oil" change and it turns out each time you go in they add more recommended maintenance to your bill. which by the time you hit 50k miles is like 500$ and that's the only way you can keep the free oil changes for life deal going. lmao what a scam I think il be doing my own maintenance from now on.

Can they do that? I mean "recommended" to me doesn't mean mandatory.

I'm going to do mine at 7000, because that's also my 30000 mark so I'll do oil and plugs.

I'm going in to dealership tomorrow for my first and only "complimentary" oil change. After that I am switching to semi-synthetic and doing maintenance myself.
