Oil Filter for the 6.4

I wanted to purchase a bunch of oil filters while NAPA had them on sale. I just picked up my 2018 PW.I have a 2011 Compass that my wife drives. The 6.4 and the Compass take the same filter, WTH?

in the past I would use larger capacity filters for what in my mind would be better filtering time, and add an extra qt of oil into the engine.

On my 4.0 L Jeep TJ, and my 4.7 Dakota, I am able to use the NAPA 1773 filters which are roughly 2 qts in size.

Has anyone discovered if there is a larger filter for the 6.4 L it just bothers me that a filter for a 2.4 L can handle the filtration for a 6.4

RP 20-820 is the larger sized filter you want. You can cross reference that.

Its what the older 5.7 hemi’s take.

RP 20-820 best filter anywhere, buy a case on amazon while you can. I have one case in stock, thinking about another. They may disco them, and then whatever you find will be less then, except amsoil ea.

Just noticed on (Amazon) a few of the RP oil filters model #'s have jumped up to $20 ea. This is on the verge of Stupid!

I just ordered 2 more for my 68RFE - they were still $15.

Going to order 2 more & then I'm done.
These should last me for well over 100K miles.

After that if RP filters are no more - I will either replace with the XP or XG.
