I have a 2021 ram eco diesel 3.0. the oil filter is expensive and is sold with an outer case. Can you just replace/buy the filter cartridge or do you have to replace the whole assembly.

What is referenced in your owners manual about just an oil filter cartridge replacement?

I think that that the oil filter and outer case are one filter assembly and you can't purchase just the internal filter. I don't know, I don't own a RAM with a diesel.
