It would be very helpful if you provided more detail for someone to be able to provide assistance. Such as:

1. Oil pressure readings before new pump and after new pump.
2. 6 oil changes to try and clean out the engine of what exactly?
3. What oil pump did you install?
4. What exactly were the problems you were experiencing that led you to replace the oil pump.

Believe me, whoever provides you with assistance will thank you for all the details you can provide - even if you think it's not related.

How many miles on the engine, is it making any noise put it in drive W foot on brake increase idle any nocking noise? put a mechanical oil pressure gage on it, tap off the oil pressure sending unit.

I have 112,000 miles on the truck. Leading up to the oil pump replacement had engine noise and lead to oil pressure light coming on. Had truck towed to my mechanic at that time. He replaced the oil pump from a ram dealership. Not sure of pressures prior. After oil pump replacement pressures would start at 80 n slowly go down as I drove it. Oil filter at the time of oil pump replacement had metal shards in it. Would bring it back to my mechanic n he would replace the oil filter n continued having shards in it. Did 6 oil changes n continued oil shards but not as much each time. Just did an engine flush on Friday . Pressures continue to fluctuate between 5-30. At idle in drive with break on the pressures drop to 5-8. As pressure drops there’s growling from the engine. Last oil change used 10-30w oil to try a thicker oil. Also over the weekend put in Lucus oil stabilizer high mileage with the same results. Stumped at this point.
