Oil pressure?

Hello I have a 2005 dodge ram with the 4.7 and when I start the the truck cold it clatters for about 5 or 6 seconds and goes away? And no i notice that when it warms up after a drive the oil pressure go down to almost notning. Not sure why? If anyone has an idea please lend me some advice . Thanks

Sounds like oil may be draining back from the oil filter. What brand do you use? And what does the oil pressure gauge show?

My oili just standerd valveoline 5w30, the oil pressure just drops to almost nothing and if I give it a little gas it comes back up, Strange!!!

What would cause it to drain back?

Well after hearing you have to give it gas to get oil pressure to raise, the oil pickup may be sludged up.
