Hello everyone, for awhile my cold start oil pressure has been around 56 PSI, this morning my startup (cold) was 49. This seems like a pretty significant drop and worries me about lifters. Is this something be concerned about? I’ve got a 2019 classic 5.7 only 93k miles. Thanks in advance.

The more miles you drive, the more your oils viscosity shears down.

An oil change will probably freshen it up.

How many miles since your last oil change?

I do every 5k it’s been about 3500. Just think it’s weird how one day it was “normal” and it’s now dropped around 7 psi

Was it literally one day?

Seeing that you are in Texas, and hearing that Texas was unusually cold this past Winter, what were the temps when you last saw 56psi and what are the temps now.

Also, what oil and filter are you using? My 2014 5.7 is now just under 125k miles and my oil pressure is pretty consistent. That said I know I'm using some carefully chosen synthetic oil and filter. Hopefully this will turn out to be nothing more than something you just noticed.

Worst case, maybe prepare to do an oil change now but grab a sample of the used oil for analysis so you can "see" what your Hemi looks like inside.

*OH* And welcome to Ramforum!
