Well my free dealer oil changes are up so it time I get to use what oil I want. Just one problem....what do I use?

Are you guys in the north running the same weight year around? id like to if possible since its not driven too much and id like to run a full syn.

I was thinking amsoil? I was also thinking of adding additional filters. Think a couple companies make kits.

So what type and weight does everyone use and has anyone added filters?

Thanks

Reece

Don't bother with Synthetics...

I've got more people crossing 1 MILLION MILES with standard petroleum products than Synthetics. As a matter of fact I never seen a Cummins diesel with Synthetic oil cross the million mile mark yet.

I've got another guy that ran 84K miles on a single oil change using WalMart Supertech 15w-40 and then Blackstone lab tested ever 7-8K miles and made it to 84K...

I'm clearing a easy 10K miles a oil change with Chevron 15w-40 and Frantz Bypass filter (TP roll).
