So here’s what I’ve come to the conclusion of after lots of chasing. On this year this silinoide controls idle air I think which was my idle problem. It the neutral safety switch as well as the shift control and the gear control. Super hard to find on the internet’s. Most years it external not a few though. I was also told to replace both because it’s the contacts that wear out on the crows nest piece. Waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Dealership wanted a couple hundred more than the eBay sellers the dealership couldn’t even tell me if they for sure had the right silinoide and couldn’t tell me anything about the crows nest part it had a few names I’m told only one that stuck. Pretty easy just drop pan drop valve body disassemble and reassemble brand new truck..

First thing I would do is hook a scan tool up and check for transmission codes. Also, was the truck completely on in this pic?

Ok so if you cannot find results on your exact year, just look it up using the generation instead. In this instance that would be 3rd gen.

Sounds like an internal mode switch issue. That's usually caused by a faulty wire most of the time.

This is on a different car but the box around the P R N D is missing.. Watch this video. It may lead to fixing your problem but then again it may not..
