Looking to upgrade speakers. I have a 2013 ram 1500 with the stock base 6 speaker set up (quad cab). I have heard and been looking around. I have the the stock radio no navigation no touch screen just the base radio with siriusxm. Looking to have a better, louder sound but nothing too crazy. pricing wise, The mopar kicker upgrade is about the same cost as aftermarket setups. I want to swap out all 6 speakers. My question really is, where am I going to get the clearest highs and lowest bass without using a sub or putting an amp on the highs? I have heard that using aftermarkets will not have as much bass as stockers because they are designed that way. I also like the fact that the factory replacement mopar kickers are simple plug and play and really easy to install.

The Image Dynamics XS69 is a very heavy hitter when it comes to 6x9's producing bass, and sub bass.

And those 67 people would have different opinions as everyone has their own favorite brands and ideas. Your budget will also affect things. I would suggest if you staying with the stock radio going with the mopar kicker upgrade. One thing to keep in mind, the dash factory speakers are 8-ohm and most, if not all aftermarket are 4-ohm which is going to make them too loud and overbearing since they are getting more power.

You can go to crutchfield.com and see what speakers will fit your truck.
