Last weekend I installed these LED bulbs in my headlights. First of I'd like to say what a great freaking upgrade. You talk about being able to clearly see at night time now!!!!!! All around a must upgrade for these dimly lit lights we have. No need whatsoever for Hi-Beams any longer. Haven't had anyone flick their lights at me either telling me the lights are too bright. It was a $100 upgrade.

Yes, indeed. Pics are a must. Lol. Have you ever tan "Sylvania Ultra Star" headlight bulbs if so, how do these compare to them. It's all I have ever ran in any of my vehicles. That's the first thing I upgrade in them.

I haven't taken a look at my new trucks lights yet but how difficult are these to replace in the 2500s? My last truck was a 2009 Ram 1500 and getting to where you could change the bulbs was a royal pain in the ass. How are the newer 2500s?

10mm socket and a trim tool it's about 4 minutes to get to them. If you don't have trim tools order some!

Is it the same process as on the 1500's. Take the grill off and the latch in the wheel well.

so basically still a pain in the A$$ to change them. I had to change one in my 2013 ram 1500 and it sucked. Not hard to do just more of a process....lol I've been thinking of changing them in the new truck, just waiting on warmer weather

How do these compare to other bright bulbs. Such as the Sylvania Ultra Stars.

Blows them out of the water...way brighter than any halogen.

Dont bother with the ones that have the fans, they will sieze as soon as they get dirty..There are other brands that use the braded wire as a cooling surface..I know factorys are not all that and upgraded ultras ect are not alot better but im not a fan of the led just yet..Ya gotta see them in use on a dark road,i rather see the range on the road not a fence..
I swapped some factory lights off my freightliner to the led freightliner ones, didnt like them and i went back..Cut off was to abrupt even with adjustment in the perfect setting..I got siver star ultra in the low beam and my fogs and hid in the high beams..Those are in my freightliner,i just put some of those xze's in my fogs and headlights of my truck last night..Didnt do any driveing at night to see the difference..I think leds need a lil more developement yet before ill plug the plug..Now if a led bar was added then you solve the issues..

Bother...if your sticking with factory quads these OPT7s are the plug and play way to go. The fan is behind the factory dust cover so dirt is not an issue. Here is the image I didn't have the camera correct...

Do you have the part number for which ones worked in your headlamps? I also don't have the projectors just the regular very dim lights on a Trademen

I don't think the headlights in my '15 are that bad at all. And the fogs are really good. Actually forgot I didn't turn the switch all the way a few times and got the whole way to work with just the fogs on.

I've had a few people flash their high beams at me a few times. Anyone know if they changed them between the 14's and 15's?
