I looked at those as well.. I was comparing the actual internals of the bulb.. And the zxe looked exactly like the low end model with a blue tint and $30 more.

The ones I got look higher quality, still some blue on the too.

(You don't have to explain yourself, especially to me.. Stuff like that doesn't bother me even if it was towards me)

You ever had someone you know buy a new car, then talk up and down about how they got such a good deal? Good salesman are trained to do that, make you feel so good about your purchase that you swear by it no matter what. Sometimes, the salesman doesn't have to do that at all.. Sometimes people naturally trick themselves to feel ok about a decision they made lol.
(Not every case but.....)

The lights are bright, nice color, and thats about it. There is nothing great about the 2 foot of gadgets, the fans that nobody knows should be covered by the dust cap or not (and reviews that talk about them burning out).

The real issues are as follows:

1)they are just too fkin bright.

2)my headlights are aimed down as far as they can go and it still looks like a high beam level (because it is).

3)the scatter is ridiculous, no matter which way you turn them. I was lighting up reflectors 400 yards down the road, that I didnt even know existed.

4) everyone stares at you because you look like an *******.

5) they're too bright

6) not worth the price, and we're about to get a rating on their customer service as well. Which brings me to...

7) they're "contact" feature is fkin garbage.. You have to email them, then wait THREE days to get a response.. Imagine a bulb going out and trying to get that claim done... Probably 2 weeks w/o a headlight. Its like telling your wife you want a divorce via text message.

8) too bright/too much scatter.

9) high beams were absolutely pointless unless you're just wondering what is in the top of that tree.

If I were 18, didn't give a **** about other drivers on the road, and I wanted something that says "look at me!"...I'd keep em.

No offense to anyone who has these, these are my personal opinions...you're still cool... But you're also an ******* for running these lights.

:)

Sorry. I guess im the salesman you were refering to. I posted all the output pics. And told you that they were bright as hell. Sorry they are to bright for your needs. I did the zxe in my high beams because i figured i wouldnt need them because the reviews say how bright the lows are. I have only been flashed a couple of times and that was b4 i aimed my lights down a bit. No hard feelings. I just feel bad because you took my advice and it didnt pan out for u.

You were one lol. There were like 12 other guys on face book pages, all at the same time.. It probably sounded worse than it really is, in text format. Im not mad or talking ****, no hard feelings. You were the most helpful with pics, but pictures are hard to read properly when it comes to light.

There's just no way I could run those lights with a clear conscious..

It was last week when I had a rental car and them people thought it would be funny to put me in an aqua colored, Nissan Versa Note (hatchback).

Long story short, this teenager in an older model focus was behind me with some leds (I know this now) and the whole interior of my car was lit up.. I was so pissed because I was driving a car (no tailgate to block the lights)... But mostly because I didn't have my truck with my secret weapon.

It would be too hypocritical of me to do that to others.

Also, how do you like the zxe bulbs? Lol

I thought you had led in the high beam... Did you send them back or always had zxe in there?

I have the ZXEs in my lows now, only reason I bought them is cause I found them on sale for as cheap as SilverStar Ultras, I have used Ultras in both my vehicles for years. The ZXEs are maybe a touch whiter/brighter but not worth the extra $$ over the Ultras.
I get what your saying about LEDs being too bright for city driving although I do have them in my fogs and highs. I use the fogs/highs "on demand" when driving down country roads.

Im 50/50 on keeping the fogs in.. They do great work. But I run my fogs constantly.

Wondering if it would look bad with everything else being halogen.

This video shows your color difference. I thought I had a photo, but no. My fogs are the LED cubes.

Nope. Have the dual output Rigids in the top position that work with the high and low beams respectively. The lower position has the hyper spot cubes that come on with the bars behind my grill.

So I have low power dogs with low beam and high power fogs (actually the driving light pattern) with high beams.

Ah maybe thats what it was (dual output)... I'm thinking that I'll keep the fogs.

Im mostly disappointed, really wanted these to work out lol.

Ok. So after a drive around. I can definitely recommend the 9006 led fogs. They dont look all that much different from the ultras when you're looking at the truck.

But the light output is definetly there.. It lights 180° very well.

Here is a comparison of stock lows/fogs vs the opt7 lows/fogs (aimed all the way down)
f92a1a34bd85be1e885119c76c46ac2e.jpg

(Notice the cutoff on the halogens, that is nonexistent with led.... Granted I'm further away... But trust me, doesn't matter.)

Didn't do a high beam comparison, because there is no comparison. Stocks/halogens definitely throw more light further, in a beam, than opt7. Opt7 is more like a bright flood light.

But with that said, I may still put them back in for the high beams for "flashing purposes" since I never need to use high beams anyways. Everything is wide open interstate out here with street lights. Plus I have plenty of aux lights for that purpose.

But are the LED in the high beam instantaneously working when you need then for "flashing" ?
