Should be here Monday, I'll post up some pics and let you guys know what I think about it. I really wanted a Bakflip but couldn't justify $800. I'd rather spend that money on performance mods.

So those roll up? My wife wants one of the folding type ones on her truck (F150) and they are about a grand installed here. Can these Vanish ones support any weight?

That's what I just got, the BakFlip FiberMax, $719 free shipping. Installed it last week and registered it ASAP. I never heard of Access Vanish... I thought I researched all possibilities but I guess I was wrong. I like my tonneau but other brands have advantages also (ie the tool box). I really liked the Truxedo Duece for a while there.

Yes, it rolls up. I've seen nothing but positive reviews on them. The Vanish is low profile, the support bars roll up with the cover. It was a little over $300. I've read it supports snow weight fine, but it's not a hard cover, so you can't stand on it. The only one I've seen with a lower profile is the Extang Revolution, but I've read mixed reviews, so I saved a $100.

Those are really nice, I just couldn't justify the cost. The only thing I don't like about the bakflip is you have to fold it all the way up against the rear window to get it out of the way, unless you take it off. I think the bakflip has a toolbox option you can add to yours called the bakbox. Did you look at that?

Yeah, if you need the box during the winter that's a pain. I used to just leave it in there.

I love my Access cover made a huge diffence in the look for the truck. I do have the regular height one and put it in myself all it took was a couple of wrenches and 30 mins.

Well, it's here, but the weather's ****. I have off tomorrow and it's supposed to be nicer, so I'll put it on then.

Yes and no about losing 3" of the bed. It's true that the bak flip covers about 3" but that only matters if what you're hauling is taller than the bed itself (ie: a refrigerator). If you're load is short you actually have the entire bed. Like hauling a motorcycle you would roll the front tire against the front of the bed and the tonneau is out of the way for the rest of the bike. Then the tonneau protects the back window.

Here is a closed and open photo of my tonneau so you can see it. I have the bakflip fibermax.

Yeah, I have an Access original...love it, and it was super easy to install...just need a 9/16" wrench or socket.

While I'm on the subject and since you mentioned the bakbox tool box, the bakbox folks away so it's nice but it doesn't hold much and isn't sturdy as other boxes. I was looking at the tonneaumate but I don't know how to do the custom install this guy did on his tundra.

Got it on, seems like a good cover, well made, strong fabric. What a difference these new covers are compared to the old snap ons.
