Recently, I received a Check Engine light and the "Service Electronic Throttle Control" alert on the dash. Code reader pulls a P02E8 code and I can clear the code. When the code is active, the truck has no turbo boost and struggles to get up to 55 mph on flat ground. When I clear the code, the truck seems fine, with boost and all. The time between clearing the code and it triggering again varies between 5 minutes and 2 hours. I have removed and replaced the MAP sensor along with cleaning the EGR Diffuser tube.
The last time I got this alert, I took the truck in and they found the "Turbo Inlet Hose" had come off. Looking over the ruck, I can't find any loose hoses or fittings.
Any suggestions on what else I can do or a dependable shop in the San Diego area you'd suggest?
Thanks in advance.
