I just got my truck back 2 days ago from having a used transmission put in. It’s a 2018 had 75000 miles on it. My engine light came on after driving it for about 3 hours and showed P0302 code I reset it and the code came back again today. It was not showing the code prior to going in to the shop any idea what could be causing it. I’m going to take it to the shop tomorrow to get it checked up. It is running great though.

Check the usual stuff coil plugs ect they may have pinched the wire harness when they bolted the trans back in as well good thing to look for. Also what happened to your trans that it failed at such low mileage? Its not common at all.

Swap that # 2 coil with #4 coil and see if the code changes to #4 misfire. If the code does change to #4 misfire, it is coil related and you found the problem.

All the following can be done without replacing anything, just some good visual inspections and testing methods..

If it stays at #2 misfire, then the search begins:
Bad plugs
Bad wiring
Bad fuel injector

Pull off the valve cover and check for:
maybe a bad lifter (pushrod should be loose and is a big problem),
maybe a bad pushrod or rocker arm (seen em eat the ends or even bend the pushrod)
bad / broken valve spring.

I just used my buddies better OBD2 reader and it came back as a P0003-02 . Not sure what caused it started having issues in the mornings with rough shifting and once in awhile it would get stuck in one gear and would go any speed just rev very high but when I would shut it off and start it back up would usually shift fine then. My truck has been driving great with no issues but the engine light is on. Thanks for any and all replies.

The P0003-02 (don't know about the -02 part) is an indication of fuel pressure regulator problems.

That, now mixed with the other problems you are seeing and just having the xmission replaced, kinda tends to suspect wiring / electrical problems. I would be searching for wiring that has been damaged / plugged into wrong connector / not seated properly or a plug that has a pin pushed out.
