Hey guys!
I have had a 26’ Ran Big Horn Hurricane SO since September of 25’. I test drove the new first Hemi on the lot, the Hurricane and the Pentastar all in same day. Really felt the Hurricane is what I wanted. Long story short. After 3,000 miles I started getting check engine lights. It’s been to my dealer 8-9 times and they’ve had it for 48 total combined days. I don’t know exactly what the code was but it is “rich to lean” bank 2 turbo. I’ve had several o2 sensors replaced and several different techs check it out. Last time it was in they said they were gonna do a pcm swap per Chrysler Star board, I think it’s called. But during that time a flash update came out to specifically fix this issue. Luckily my truck was still there and they did the update and for 3 weeks it was ok. Came on again last week and I took it back. Service guy said try a can of octane boost and run 91,93 octane when I fill up next. Now I have been running 87 and last 2 fill ups have been 89 while filling up roughly 1/2 tank. Last 2-3 days and it hasn’t been on. Neighbors son in law was getting same code and runs premium fuel and it goes away.
Is this ******** or what.
Why does the HO need premium and the 2.0 hurricane need premium but the SO doesn’t. I feel like most of the engine lights guys are getting is due to ****** 87 or 89 fuel.
