P2509 SRS light no other warning lights

2012 RAM 2500 Cummins Airbag light came on today, no check engine light. I pulled the codes it's P2509 permanent. I checked all the fuses, disconnected the batteries. The code is still there I can't erase it with my scanner . The batteries seem ok I just replaced them about 7 months ago with 2 new AGM intestates from Costco. I am in Quartzite AZ camping lots of dust . I'm not sure if the dust could have gotten into something? The truck drives fine. But I need to figure this out before I leave breaking down with a Fifth wheel camper in the desert is not fun. Any idea what to check that I didn't yet?
