long story short, big rock flung at my door and chipped the pain completely off. right down to the metal. would i need to get some sort of primer or could i get some touch up paint and it'll be fine?

then the dent its real small, what would be an easy fix to it?

A picture might help in understanding the damage. But I had a small ding from maybe a shopping cart on my passenger lower door. The shop repaired it for $150 which I feel was a good price. This shop has done a lot of paint work for me. Good work takes time no matter how small the damage.

Looks like damage near the badge as well, my guess that'll run in the $250-$300 range. That truely sucks!

the one near the badge aint to bad. i was just gonna leave that one there, the big one is what i want fixed. i use my truck as a truck, and little dings and scratches i look past. gives it character. but this is the only ding/scratch that i gave it. the only reason why im upset. lol.
All i can say is "**** happens"

on a side note: the first week we bought the truck, it was my brothers truck then, he was backing out of the driveway, and rubbed against a bush and put at 2feet long 6inches thick dent on the passenger side of the bed. still there today, about 4 years later.

Damn, I would say leave it alone then, adds character, besides....

The way I see it, you would need a new door. Thats a hell of a dent, and there is more than that on that door, by the handle and badge an all. Pulling those dents will probably end up costing just as much as a new door, and they will want to paint the whole door if they have to pull dents.

Nick, indeed your truck has a lot of character, being a 05 RCSB it also has a lot of potential for being a sweet street truck. With what you have stated I wouldn't spend any money on the body until you decide to repair the whole thing. Good luck....

yea thats true. the good thing is its the base model. no insulation no power windows, no power locks. nothing. im thinking about taking off the door panel and pushing the dent out, then after that gonna wet sand it and apply some touch up paint. i think that will work. i know the dent wont be comepletly fixed, but it wont look as bad. and with the touch up paint should only look like a dent.
