Painted up my Mevotechs!

I couldn't take the rust on my Mevotech UCA's anymore so I painted them!

First I took off the tires and took a wire brush to them. Then I took sand paper and scrubbed the hell out of them lol. After that came paint.

I used 2 coats of Tremclad primer, 2 coats Tremclad flat black paint, and finished off with 2 coats of clear coat.

Finished!





Turned out great! They look better than new. Hopefully they hold up!

When I get mine I'm definitely powdercoating them first ! Luckily I work with a guy who does powdercoating on the side !

Yeah I wish I knew they needed to be painted before I put them on! Would have been much easier lol

Looks good, what's your personal experience with Mevotech? I opted for Moog just because I know I can trust them and could really find anything on Mevotech.

Thanks! I've had no issues with them at all. I like how they're greasable too! Other than the paint they've been great!

Yeah, I definitely went for grease applicable arms. I see no reason to replace stuff like that without it being greasable.

The Mevotechs? I bought them from Rock Auto out the of US. I think it was $100 for both and $40 for shipping! Of course now with the exchange that would be $130 plus $50 for shipping.

cool thanks. I need to replace my bushings..and apparently you ahve to buy whole new control arms...not just the bushings. I dunno..seems stupid to me.

Once you do the level you mean? Yes the 13+ stock control arm is just too weak. Mevotech is much heavier built than stock!
