Parking light out warning on dash

2015 lone star halogen lights all around all bulbs are in working order, brand new 3rd brake light and im still getting a parking light warning on my dash when i hit the brakes or use my blinker BUT, its only when the lights are on or on auto. Ive searched and searched but cannot narrow this down. All i could find was adding resistors for LEDs but i have halogen bulbs. I do have aftermarket sport style headlights, could this be the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated as this is terribly annoying.

It’s probably that you need resistor for the LED turn signal. Lights usually come with one. You probably have hyper flash issues as well?

He doesn't have LEDs, he said all bulbs are halogen.

If he has sport headlights as he stated, the turn signal/drl is infact LED and is what requires a resistor. I ran halogens in mine for awhile, mine came with a resistor. Without it I got the parking light out message. Sport headlights are projectors. View my avatar to see what I’m talking about.

Mine gave me the same error message you’re receiving , which is why I think it’s related. Could be totally wrong but it’s a thought. What brand headlights? Just a thought, but do you have LED tag lights?

no. Oem halogen tail lights. Heads are an amazon brand sport style headlight. Only thing led is the blinker. Maybe ill try buying a non led quad style housing to see if that solves my problems.

lol whoops mis read that. But nah no LED tag lights. I have Acanii lights. It doesnt advertise resistors. I bought the truck with these lights and problem so im not 100% sure what the previous owner did which makes it harder

I understand. When I first installed mine with the halogens, I did get the error message. Contacted the company and received a resistor for each housing. Solved my issues. They were large and had 3m tape on the backs so I mounted them on the frame by the headlight buckets. Maybe there’s a wiring issue with yours. Have you taken them out or looked around for wires?

Anyone figure this one out?
I have a 2013 mega cab 2500 and the same issue of parking light out popping up all of the time. All lights are stock and all are on every time I stop get out and check periodically when this warning pops up

if the turn is led so is the parking light. probably not seeing the resistance it wants. plug a bulb in and see. ALFA obd can program the truck for LED bulbs. I did mine, works perfect. I changed all lights to LED. Brake/parking, turn/parking. led backup/ 3rd brake, cargo, license plate and dome.

I had a similar issue about a month ago. The light came on in the dash but everything worked with the bulb. :O I changed the bulb which looked good and no problem since ! FYI All stock bulbs
