When my engine is cold and I first start it, I get tapping from the passenger side of the engine. Seems like it has always done that however now it seems like it’s a lot louder. I haven’t worked on an engine in 30 years but to me it sounds like a rocker arm that needs to be tightened. It goes away after a minute of running which makes me think once they oil gets up there on that it gets quieter. Which is the other thing that I’m concerned with is the oil pressure. It runs about 20 at idle and about 40 at speed. It seems like when it was new it was 55 or so on the highway. Anybody else have the staffing issue? Engine runs strong as always.

PSI is a little low, ticking is very likely hemi tick, it is either exhaust mani or lifters. Upload video via webcam on youtube would be helpful, especially put recording device under engine. Is she burning oil at all, any smoke at start up? How many miles on truck?

What you describe sounds like the broken manifold bolts to me. The block is aluminum and the manifold is cast iron so they heat up and cool (expand/contract) at different rates causing them to stress the bolts and eventually pop the bolts.

Since you have a 2014, you are fortunate to have a 5 year/100k powertrain warranty, if you are still in that window get it to a dealer ASAP and lt them check it. If its the bolts that is a warranty issue, no charge repair.

If its not the manifold bolts, then it could be something internal in which case they may also cover it under powertrain Warranty.

Good luck!
