No problem. Haven’t ordered it yet but I most likely will. I let you know if I notice a difference

Is yours tuned? I'm interested if adding a controller will cause the tune to go nuts?

No! Don't buy one! Left me stranded basically, I had to remove it!
This is why I recommended the Banks Pedal Monster instead of the Pedal Commander. It won't leave you stranded/needing to remove it to continue your drive. The worst that will happen is the pedal response will resort back to factory settings.

Think of it like a string of pearls. Each "pearl" can be modified and is a stand alone thing. Each "pearl" gets info from the string behind it, not directly from the pearl. It actually doesn't know what "pearl" is behind it, just what the string says. No "pearl" interacts directly with another nor modifies another, just what info it sends up the string to the next one.

This is a little simplified, as there's a master looking to make sure each pearl is reporting within parameters (like if you're throttle position sensor reported it was at 110%, the master is going to throw an error because it knows that's impossible if it's functioning correctly and may shut everything down to prevent damage), but that's it, it won't modify how each pearl receives data from the last and manipulates it inside before sending it up the string to the next.

No. Need to check to see if I should. I’ve never used a pedal commander before so I’m learning new info as I go

No, my question is the inverse - if your ECM is stock, Banks takes the output from it and modifies it.

I have an inline tuner stacked on top of the stock ECM, most guys have a modified ECM itself. I guess I should call Banks and ask. My concern is I already have custom software installed. Will Banks overwrite it? Only a portion of it? Other?

It does not effect your tune. It intercepts the throttle signal at the gas pedal and modifies it. We have customers with in line tuners using them with no issues. Message me if you would like a quote

thats why we prefer the Banks Pedal Monster. It reverts to stock should it fail. The Banks unit is the safest throttle controller on the market with its built in safeties, stock reverse signal, and being powered off the OBDII

I had the PC on my 2018 and transferred it to my 2023, never had any real issues besides the once in a blue moon code. Simply disconnected it and cleared the code and started it right back up. No issues.

I bought a Banks Pedal Monster last year and switched over. Mostly because a friend had one and I liked the setup (OBD) better. If someone wants my Pedal Commander, send me an IM and I'll send it to you free of charge.

Ok you guys - you spent some more of my money - congratulations!

I picked up a Banks PedalMonster for my 2017 Ram 2500 Hemi 6.4L from @Nick@GotExhaust and jammed all the excess harness up under the dash with all the others.

I'm about 15 years younger than Gale Banks, so I was driving carburetor and cable vehicles for about half my life before fly-by-wire came to vehicles. I absolutely hated what software bro's did to pedal response for whatever reason (EPA, safety, whatever). Having an unresponsive dead engine was ridiculous - especially for us that use a truck like a truck (towing).

Anyway, PedalMonster brings back old-timey fly-by-cable linear response again. It's just...wonderful. I'm running about halfway in the "city" sensitivity range. I'll see what happens towing - I just got done towing some 7,500 pound loads of dirt before I installed this.

Thanks all. Maybe I'll do catch cans yet.

I keep mine in the "City" mode nearly 100% of the time, usually near the top end. Haven't noticed any difference when towing or when towing with the tow/haul button pushed. Gas mileage remained the same.
