Pennzoil Ultra missing in San Angelo, TX

Checked three Walmarts, all three Auto Zones and two Orielly's. Not even a place on the shelf for it. What the hell. I do not want to have to start ordering my oil. Did Ultra get pulled? Is there anything that is a good equivalent? No interest in going Red Line. Just want a good 5W20 with some molly.

Ultra is hard to find just about anywhere except online unfortunately...

Yeah I was going to say if you had it in any store since they changed to the yellow bottle, you were lucky!

I managed to find 5W-30 Ultra at our local pep boys but didnt want to pay their ridiculous price.

I think Amazon has the 5W-20 Ultra at a decent price right now.

I contacted Pennzoil and they just said I could get it in Abilene, 90 miles away. Needless to say i ordered from Amazon last night. Here locally, even platinum is overpriced at auto parts stores at $37.00 for a 5 quart bottle. Cheap at Wal-Mart, $24.00, but I really want to try the ultra.

A little birdie says they are doing a 2.00/qt rebate starting Feb 1 I just hope Amazon doesnt hike up their price before tomorrow.

Im thinking of picking up some of the 5W-20 while its still low, but the rebate doesnt end until June so Im hoping the pricing goes back to where it was before then so I can pick up some 5W-30.

Still debating just letting the dealer change my oil forever, but if I call to make an appointment and its going to take weeks to get in, that idea might go out the window.

Quakerstate - ultimate durability
Mobil 1 - regular and extended
Valvoline - syn, maxlife syn
Redline
Amsoil - XL and SS
Castrol - Edge
Napa - syn which is bottled by Valvoline

My go to as of right now based on wear is Pennzoil Ultra Platinum if I can find it
I have been running Quakerstate in my wife’s van
I don’t think for protection per dollar they can be beat.

So I bought 5W/20 PUP 5qt, two other quarts, and a Royal Purple filter for $56 on Amazon. I was gonna go to 5/30 but I could not pass up that price. Plus its great oil.

Every time I find it at oriellys it’s not on a shelf, I have to ask one of the employees to go look in the back and there is always 7 quarts back there.
