Pentastar owners thoughts?

Hi all,

Just purchased my first ever pickup - 2014 Ram 1500 3.6 Pentastar quad cab with the 3.21 gearing. I am not hauling or towing anything - purchased the truck as I am a hunter and fisherman who plans on using the box for a quad and I am a taller guy so I love the room inside.

Before this truck, I had tested a 2013 pentastar with the 3.92 gearing - but lower trim and a color I didn't like - as well as more mileage.

I ended up purchasing this truck - It does feel slower with the 3.21 gearing and I am feeling a bit remorseful that I did not get the 3.92.

What are everyones thoughts on the pentastar? Especially with the 3.21 gearing? It's my daily driver and my area is moderately hilly but no large inclines whatsoever.

I have the same set up 8speed v6 3.21, I previously had the 8speed hemi 3.92. Yes it's a little bit slower but it's still not that bad only difference is the take off IN my opinion.
I don't regret it the change

The Pentastar is not a bad engine...I had one in my Wrangler...you can always change your gearing in the rear and get a bit more hp if u like....good engine...

I have one in my RCSB. Not sure on the gearing, but it has plenty of get up and go. It can break my Toyo AT2's loose on damp pavement going 30.
