So i got my steathbox in my truck the other day and I can't decide whether I want to drill a 1/2 inch hole through my floor like the mounting instructions tell me to... Just wondering whether anyone else has mounted it through the floor or if you guys came up with another better way to mount this bad boy! Or if it's even worth it performance wise to secure it at all..

Yes, I drilled the hole like they suggest. After it was installed I went under the truck and put some silicone around the bolt, keep out the water and crap. This way if your truck got busted into, you know that they won't be able to steal your box. Also having the box secured down will sound better too!

How do you guys like the stealth box?

The sound from this thing is amazing! It looks great and it has the right position in the truck so it doesn't sound like it's coming from one side or the other... Quite impressive

I have a stealthbox, had it in my 03, 07 and soon to be in my '13....
yep, that's right, 1 stealthbox, 3 trucks...gotta love it!

never bothered to bolt it down.

just gotta remove the load leveling floor. seems the seats hold it in place nicely, heh.

Neat, saw this box on Crutchfield and the reviews on it seem really good. What's everyone paying for it and how much juice do you have going to it? I have the very basic stereo and to be honest other than lacking some bass it's pretty good. I have the treble, midrange, and bass all the way up and can turn the volume all the way up without any distortion or screams for help from the speakers. I think I'll start with a sub and eventually amp up some mids and tweets in the front.

I am pushing mine with the JL xd 700/5. 4 channels to focal door speakers and 1 channel to stealth box 300 watts rms. when i talked with Jl they said this would be the perfect amp for the steathbox. the power sits right it the sweet spot for the speaker. i got a good deal on mine. i cant really say the price but if your in MD or VA. Call Alan at 151 motorsports.

Sounds good. Maybe I'll get that amp with a single sub for now, so I'll have an amp that could run upgraded door speakers if I get ready.
