Performance chip

Can you guys recommend a performance chip for my 2015 Laramie 1500?

Ive never used one before and a bit nervous. I've heard that it can ruin the engine quicker. If that's not true can someone share your thoughts on it?

My biggest reason for using a chip is the help my fuel economy.

Super chips makes a pretty good one. Not crazy power adds but nice. There is also a tune that comes with it that is specifically for mileage.

Let's put aside the moniker "chip" and refer to what is used today which is a "programmer".

You can get mileage tunes on a Diablosport programmer. Since your truck is a 2015 your PCM is encrypted which requires that you purchase a decrypted one with the programmer.

I think the only way you can get a tuner (programmer, chip, whatever you want to call it) in your year of truck is a pulsar, (which I do now have for performance mostly) unless you want to swap pcm’s at a high cost.
Personally I think these are made for fun and not the fuel economy.
Diablosport make great tuners with custom tunes and pcm swap but you’re going to be in 4 digits for that.

I just took mine out of my truck as I bought the stuff from diablo. Make me an offer on it as I will be putting it up for sale. It’s the pcm and tuner. I’ll sell it to just help me get some money back. I had the hemifever tune in it

I plan on making a list of mods I took off there. But not sure what things are worth yet

If you search each item on these classifieds, you will probably see some that have sold and hopefully the asking prices are still up.
Haven’t seen a tuner with PCM for some time however, I’m guessing you could get $600-$750
