Hey everyone,

This spring im going to be getting new rims and tires for my truck. I have a 2016 1500 quad cab in black metallic. It is stock. I plan to go with 20x12 -44 offset Rockstar 3's in all black with Nitto 420S 305-50-20. (I have done my research and these will fit and i have seen numerous trucks running this setup with no rubbing... check out customwheeloffset.com) ANYWAYS... I need some opinions. The Rockstars are able to change out the inserts to different colors. I have a black truck and will be blacking out the bumpers/ grille soon. I know that with all black truck the rims can easily get lost due to it being so black. I thought it might be cool to throw a splash of color on the inserts. I thought about either bright orange or white. I will attach pics of what im talking about. What are your thoughts. The have the midspoke inserts, "beadlocks" and then the stars.

Anyone running color inserts post pics or even if you just have RS3 rims.

Honestly, I'm just not a fan of street tires mounted on offroad wheels with huge offsets. I think a set of Nitto 420's mounted on some 22x10 or 24x10 street styled wheels , like KMC Slides, would look much better. Just my opinion.

Opinions are very much so welcomed. Just googled KMC slides. Actually dont look too bad at all.

I was interested in the RS3's as well. Until I got the price quote.... $450+/rim? no thanks.

You're adamant about getting these -44's huh? :naughty:

You're just not gonna find a lot of members with this type of wheel setup on here. There's only a handful of Rams with these offsets including myself. The tiresize your interested in is even more rare on here. I'm all about seein new stuff so I'm standing by to see what you end up doing.

Good luck.

Edit: found an older thread with a guy runnin 20x14's....id hit this guy up for info.

I appreciate it! I thought it would be more common to be honest as i seem to see quite a few people running this wider stance now a days. 305-50-20= 33-12.5-20 so its a fairly common size but i guess maybe not with a 20x12 -44 rim lol.

If and when i get around to ordering these (probably once winters over) i will post them up

Actually, a 305/50-20 is more like a 32x12.50 tire. A 305/55-20 is about 33 inches tall.

This is true... i mistyped. some websites show the NT420s in 305/55 and some only show it in 305/50... i would prefer the 55 for the 33" tire but either works as long as it fits.
