So, it's finally that time. I've got the small mods out of the way and it's on the lift, wheels and tires. I've decided to go with a 4" lift, 20x9 wheels and 35*12.5 tires.

Question number one is which of the two available 4" 2WD lifts will give me the leveled look? I see they're semi customizable, if I were to raise the front end 4" how much would I need to lift the ass end to get things completely level?

For those of you with a 4" lift what sort of backspacing are you using?

I'm eyeing a set of BMF SOTA wheels with ~0 backspacing.

Would I need more or less to avoid rubbing.

Haha. Copycat! Just kidding :p

I have a 4x4, but a 4" front and 2" rear will give you rake of 1" which to the naked eye looks very close to level. If you're completely level, the truck usually looks higher in the front. There is a 3" rake factory (At least on my truck).

I have -12 Backspacing and 20x10's with 35.6" tires and can tell you I'm VERY close to rubbing (Until I get my Bilstein's on). With a 20x9, I'd certainly go -12, 0 may have rubbing issues on the UCA if your tire is too fat.

When I first got my lift on with the CST 4'' spindles, I had the CST 1.5'' rear spacer. It measured out almost completely level. The rear was just about 1/8'' higher than the front. But most of the time, the truck looked slightly nose high. I agree with MiRamDriver about having at least 3/4'' - 1'' rake to not appear nose high.

Nice truck man, that was my original color choice but I couldn't find any Sports in stock for miles and miles.

What size tires are they? Any rubbing?

Cool, I was worried about looking goofy with a lift on stock tires but it doesn't look bad at all... looks good in fact.

I've got the CST kit in one shopping cart and the Maxtrac in another. Just trying to decide who to go with...

Yea, it didn't look bad at all with the stock tires on just the 4''. At the time, CST was the only option I had, but I wouldn't hesitate at all on Maxtrac kit. Less expensive and basically the same exact product, with a claimed 1/2'' more lift also. You can't go wrong with either choice. I know Maxtrac is active here on the forum, and CST isn't, so I would probably go Maxtrac just to support them.

LOL, I just bought the CST kit for $712, shipped. Not too shabby.

How much more did the front tires stick out after installing the spindles?

Should I order some spacers for the rear tires?

LOL! Well you will be happy with them for sure. They push out the front wheels 1.5'' on each side.

I ordered 1.75'' BORA adapters for the rear. If I am correct, you had to trim your rear studs just a little for the wheels to fit on grzmnky? I ordered them a little bigger for that reason, finally got them in, but haven't installed them yet. Hoping I wont have to trim my studs at all. And the 1/4'' wider out back shouldn't be noticeable.

How long are the studs on our trucks?

Amazon has two 1.5" adaptors, one with 1/2" studs and the other with 9/16" studs.

Here is a picture of a guy with a 2012 like mine. He has the BORA 1.5'' adapters in this pic. He had to trim just a little off the stock studs so the new rims would fit flush. Not sure on the stud size of yours, or if they are even the same length. Check these adapters out. They are hub and wheel centric, which is what you want. Not sure if the ones on Amazon will be the right fit, could be though.

I bought a pair of the 1.5" BORA adaptors. After doing a little research it seems that 13+ trucks have lugs that are longer than 1.5".

How the hell does one go about 'trimming' a lug?

Put an open ended lug nut on the stock stud and tighten it down lower than where you want to cut it off at. Then use a bandsaw or sawzall to cut the stud. Then back the nut off to straighten out the thread on the end. Shouldn't have any trouble like that.
