I am considering a pillar mount for my 1500, and already know what type of gauges I want. I either want the Mopar series or the dodge factory match from autometer. I am debating whether to get a fuel pressure gauge, or a transmission temp gauge... My question is whether or not the stock 1500 transmission has a **** for the sensor already, or do i need to get it installed at a shop?

I am either going to get the srt-10 style a-pillar, or an autometer dual gauge pod, depending on the hassle with the trans temp gauge.

If you want a sweep style gauge for trans you can hook into one of the unused test ports on the trans but will require adaptors and other odds and ends. D already said it but the AI series reads all of it and you can just run the SRT single pod and not lose your entry handle. The dual pod is ok but the fit and finish is not 100% like the SRT one is from me owning both.

"AI" what does that mean? or is it a company? and yeah I'm thinking i want to go with the srt-10 in order to keep my handle, only thing is i do like the sweep gauges, I'm a little more oldschool in that sense. if i was going to go with digital I would probably go with AEM white faces are nice plus i have used them before

I also like the sweep gauges but for how many of those it takes to do what one of the AI does it was an easy choice for me. Only other way to monitor everything it does is to have the laptop in the truck hooked up at all times if I did a sweep PSI or Temp gauge.
