Nope. Just clean it. With scuffing it you might as well paint it. The plasti dip is nice since it can be removed, and won't harm whats underneath it.

Sweet look, I almost started to do this to my wheels, but was wondering if that affects the balance much. Anyone pick up a shimmy or shudder? Planning to practice on my gas door for technique, but any issues with driveability?

this is light weight I doubt it will affect the balance of the rims

It was raining last night and I just had to go out and have some fun with the wet roads haha and the plasti-dip still looks in pretty good shape...1de21771.jpg

Thanks man..I still gotta do the red calipers

Low key. I would make them white, it'd be 1 off, and match the truck. I think it'd be sweet if you did that. But it's your call

I was thinking white at first but you'll always see all the brake dust over them

unless you go with black you are going to see brake dust, and to keep them looking good you have to clean them

It's really easy just take the wheels off and start painting them. I was scared of doing them at first, but its super easy. I did 5 coats on mine and they came out pretty good.
I picked up 3 cans at Lowes..

Yeah its pretty simple to do, its easier than painting with spray cans. its hard to make this stuff run. 5 coats is usually a good number, thats how many I got on my rims and what not. start off with light coats and work your way up in thickness.
