I hate chrome so this afternoon I plastic dipped my bumpers. Everything went fine until I put the front bumper back on. So I have a black plastic piece between my bumper and my grill and when we put the bumper back on the top edge in more than one spot fought the plastic edge and pushed and peeled the plastic dip. I have attached a picture and am looking for some advice to fix it asap. Hope someone out there will know how I can fix this. Sorry its dark out and the picture may not be the best. for some reason the photo is flipped upside down

It's a pain in the ass having that upper bumper thing mine began peeling away a few days later from where it rubs so I resprayed and let it harder before putting it back on.

Peel the whole bumper? I couldn't just take an exacto knife cut out the bad spots and respray?

You would have a line if you did that.

Better then peeling the whole things and restarting I think. I was thinking using paint thinner lightly along the cut edge to blend it down smooth then spraying the spots to be fixed then one good coat over the whole bumper. I only have a can left. Took 3 so far to do them plus hours of driving to get to town to pick up the darn stuff

Yeah, they sell a "specially formulated" paint thinner to re-liquify Plasti-Dip. I would have probably sprayed it while on the truck though as it's easy to peel away the parts you don't want painted. Let us know what route you go and your results, I'm interested to know how it comes out.

Thanks for all the help guys but I just peeled everything. I found it made my bumpers look like cheap plastic ones.

Do you have any pics of the truck with and without the dipped bumper? Was thinking of doing the same thing but I didn't know how the dip would look with my glossy black truck.
