For those that dipped your Ram 1500 badges how did you keep the paint from getting between the letters? If you just painted them as is how did you get the paint out from between the letters and numbers?

You can use a razor blade to cut out the exact shape of painter's tape you need in order to put inside the lettering, or be lazy and do what I did. I just plasti-dipped everything, then used a razor blade to nick up the edge of the plasti-dip that was inside the lettering, then just peeled it out with my fingernail. I would recommend cutting out painters tape with a razor blade though. The way I did it was a huge PITA. There are some good youtube videos that show the best way to do it also.

Take a tooth pick and get it out. The plasti dip doesn't stick to the paint very well it will peel right off and it will stay on the badges.

I used a tooth pick
I had a blast peeling it from the paint
If you pull the right way you can pull it off as a sheet so you only have inside of the R and A

If your looking for a smoother finish spray it a bit heavier

Anytime. And yea I split up the days I did my badges too, it just takes forever with doing that 30 minutes in between coats.
