Did you dip right over the plastic chrome?? Ive been thinking about getting a complete chrome black out but im skeptical on the durability of the dip.

Yes, I just washed and dried them first. Then about three-four coats.

I wish the chrome-clad skins were removable so we could buy then in different colors and switch them. Like iPhone cases. It would be a whole new aftermarket sector.

Plastidip is super reliable. My chrome clads have been dipped for months and I wash them straight with the pressure washer every week. The trick is to put enough coats on. I've dipped whole cars and have had no problems peeling etc..

I use a whole can per wheel and it gives it a deeper black.
