I really want to plasti dip my factory chrome clads but I'm not firmiliar with the spray plasti dip so any help would be appreciated. What I'm really looking to find out is what do I have to do to prep the rim before I spray it and how many coats are u guys doing to get a good coat that will last decently? Along with how many coats about how many cans should I plan on picking up that way I don't have to run out in the middle. Thanks in advance

I took my wheels off, just washed em with soap and water real good, tape off around the tire and sprayed. I used 2 cans for all four wheels, don't remember how many coats. 2 cans seems to be the minimum everyone recommends some do more. Mine have held up for over a year so far

Approx. same here. Clean it good, dry. Then I put flashcards all the way around right between the rim and the tire.

Check out the DIY section, there's a nice write-up in there on how to do it.
