Plasti-dipping Roof

So I've been thinking lately about plasti-dipiing my roof. What do you guy think?

please don't unless its what you really want! Plasti dip does not hold up good enough like paint would. If you're going to go through all the trouble, then actually paint it. I made the mistake of dipping my emblems and it wore of in spots after about 6 months and that was with about 6 coats on!

Couple of things:

1 Black Roofs are awesome, but they have to be high gloss painted black to look right (IMO) so PD won't do that.

2 Good lord is your truck going to get hot inside. You don't realize how much extra heat you get with a black roof until you have one.

3 You can get 3M Vinyl from Amazon or similar, and try it as a wrap first.

4 It looks badass with everything but the grill black. BAD ASS, DO IT!

^^thats what I was thinking. A carbon fiber wrap would look nice. A buddy at work just carbon fibered his hood and it's a white truck and looks pretty bad ass! I convinced him to get his roof done in CF too.

Seen a few jeep srt8 with carbon fiber wrapped roofs that look good but I wouldn't do plasti dip

There was an SRT-10 with a carbon fiber roof wrap, looked funny to me. from a distance it just looked like it was primmered. Not a fan. Gloss black or stock.

I would suggest the carbon fiber wrap. It would last a lot longer and look much better than the plastic dip.

Hum given me lots to think about.. Maybe something I will do as a future mod /
