Playing with some CCFLs

New shroud, I'm one of the first retrofitters from my supplier to get these (and they were designed for my supplier. ) Neat shroud with "windows" in them to shine out - a mounted CCFL ring behind them. :********:

they are. We tossed around a few ideas on the LEDs, but each one was going to be like....150-200 bucks. Forget that. I pushed the LEDs back, that seemed to help, but I am still not 100% happy with it. We also bought these new shrouds, got 'em painted, etc - so this set is taking a lot more time here than I normally do! I will have them complete this weekend though. And a few other sets that are ready to roll.......hoping the wife doesn't kill me!

lol, I am not a good tease. Here's something I saw that is in development.

The big "round" part is not open, so if a CCFL would need to go there, it would need to be cut. The holes around the projector would need to be cut too, if you want a CCFL there. I kinda think it would be a dual deal........but without seeing it in my hands - who knows. I'm also wondering how easy that ******* would be to strip (for paint).
