I cannot find a thread on converting the front brake calipers from a third gen to a second gen. I have a ‘98 1500 4x4. Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Thank y’all so much!

Because there isn't, no one has. Especially on a 94-9 truck where the caliper mounts are made onto the knuckles.
Best bang for the buck is either 94-8 2500LD (7500 GVWR) calipers or swap to 00-01 knuckles which would allow you to use the 00-01 dual piston calipers.
