I want to get an in cab tuner that I can change things with on the go and see extra gauges and things like that for my 2003 1500 5.7 Hemi but I am stuck on which one to get. I’m stuck on which ones will help me the most and is the most convenient as well as increase some fuel mileage. Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen any switch tunes on the fly programmers out for your truck.

Yes, BullyDog makes programmers for our trucks.

I'd suggest you talk with them before you buy it thinking you can switch tunes on the fly with that unit.

Yes, the ad states you can "Access four preloaded tunes with the touch of a few buttons ..." but it does not say how many buttons and whether or not you have to download the existing tune to upload the desired tune while sitting motionless, performing Key Cycles and waiting for 10 minutes for the new tune to load.

I don't think any tuner manufacturer makes a programmer for on the fly changes, doing so could potentially seriously damage your truck. I can tell you from experience that doing a code scan and/or clear with the engine running on my truck has given me some very weird codes, while doing the same on my '08 Hyundai Accent has done nothing abnormal.

There are several good programmers on the market, I just don't have a clue as to whom would be the best for your application and I'm still researching for my truck right now.

Only diesel tuners have the ability to "tune on the fly". No tuner available can do that to a gas truck, much less the worst ECM ever 2003.
