You all running boost on your motors, what are the must important ones needed. My thought was boost of coarse, Air/fuel ratio & Fuel rail pressure. I'm looking at the autometer site and they have 4th gen match gauges. I would appreciate any input on this.

Thanks!

I’m running the trinity T2, it’s a programmable multi gauge unit. You can also add other things to it, like a boost sensor or a wide band sensor.

I would choose "boost" and "pyrometer" as the two most important with the diesel. I had Isspro gauges in my 95.

On the sensor after the intercooler it was always about 20 degrees lower then outside air.

That is a procharger setup with the intercooler that comes with the kit? My IAT would hang around 130 even with outside air below 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
7-8 psi max.

Yes will to be specific, the sensor is ready the air temp going to the intake. It’s not actually the reading of the intake air in side. My sensor is about 5 inches away from the throttle body mounted on the pipe.
But only time I’ve seen it get that high is it when I let it idle for a long time deep in the summer.

What kind of setup were you running to get sub ambient intake temps on a boosted application?

Or do you mean it was 20 degrees cooler from before the intercooler to after the intercooler?

On my whipple setup the only time I ever saw an IAT of 130 was the middle of summer and heat soaked idling. Once I started driving it dropped. Even then it was pretty rare.

Only time mines goes 100 is when I’m idling for a extend time. Before I tore the motor down, going to the track cruising it was 70 degrees outside and that’s where my post intake air sensor was reading + or - a degree or so.

Yeah even after installing water/**** injection upstream of IAT sensor the temperature remained exactly the same on my 1/4 mile passes, this made no sense to me.
