I love white letters out, it's a thing, pure truck ****. I think whoever you order from should have that common knowledge. It's kinda weird, because even BFG only has like 1/2 of these as an option. What tire brands are you interested in? Does pirelli make a truck tire?
I agree, they just look so cool on a lowered truck!
Pirelli, I believe now makes a tire in my size, but no factory white letters.
At this point, I'd let the white letters dictate the tire as long as it's not a Uniroyal!

Michelins for me thanks. But most importantly, wide open side channels are what make a tire best in wet and rough. So many tires have little to no side channels = hydroplane city.

I just voted "Cooper", because what I have is the best... at least for me and my purposes. ;)

What is the actual "best", if there is indeed such a thing, is a decision each individual would be wise to make, based upon all the variables involved.

Also... what, no Firestone Transforce AT's??? :D

I am running the Falkens for about 35k mi now. Very pleased with them. They are getting a little louder now that they're wearing down, but have performed very well. For the price, I can put two sets on my truck before I get to the cost of the BF Goodrich or others. They've held up very well considering. Wet and snow performance has been excellent.

As for the thread overall, I don't think there's one "best" tire. I think there should be categories. Some folks are doing their trucks up for street performance, others for offroad, and some for towing. For general driving and offroad, the Wildpeaks are hard to beat.

A tip: Order them online through Walmart.com. Make sure they're sold by Walmart, not another seller. Get them shipped to store free (make sure it's got a tire center). Get them mounted and balanced for $22 a wheel including lifetime rotation and balancing. Out the door price for mine was around $600. The local tire shops were all between $1300-1500 for the same tires. Walmart doesn't have huge markups on the tires or installation.

So far I'm pretty damn happy with my new 35" Kenda Klever RTs!
They don't throw gravel.
They hook up well on dry pavement.
They are great on wet pavement.
Amazingly quiet at highway speed! Better than the Duratracs they replaced.
Still have yet to try them in snow, but a buddy runs them on his truck and he plows with it and says they are outstanding.
I guess I'll see in a few months...

My "other" is 1st choice General Grabber ATX, then 2nd is Falken Wildpeak AT3.

I only run AT's up here in central Minnesota.....toughest application around where you either need the best compromise tire on the market, or two sets of tires and rims - one for winter and one for summer. Big bucks for that.

Was just about to start a thread about the Grabbers - but not a good thread.

My truck is in the shop getting new tires after 15k on the Grabber ATP's - two of them failed specs while getting road force balanced, some form of internal issues. The truck has been driving like crap - rebalancing, rotating, rinse and repeat a few times with the same results.

My wifes SUV and my buddies F250 have the same issues. Installed at different shops...

Vibration, shimmy, slight bounce at certain speeds... all three vehicles have the same issues.

My neighbor happens to own the tire shop - he was telling me that something goes bad in the construction - the windings/belting (probably not the correct terms) shift under load and the tires come out of round and can't be balanced.
