Kleinn makes an awesome kit for our trucks. Everything mounts to the frame rails. I have the kit with the demon air horns and absolutely love it.

If not too small for your needs, the Home Depot Husky 12v working fine for emergency use on trails, keep it in a ammo box. 130 psi with gauge. Also have an loud electric Bad Boy horn, takes a relay.

Here is where I put my ARB twin compressor ran a line down to a tank that I mounted underneath that holds about 5 gallons of air and I have an air chuck mounted in the hole on the right rear of the bed inside where the tiedown is compressor is completely protected from the elements and works very very well

Ditto....I went with the Klienn HK8 kit....mounted my compressor in the front, the tank on the frame beneath the passenger side and the horns are tucked in above my drive shaft to keep everything clean and out of the way....

I have the Viair 00088 88P Portable Air Compressor and I love it. Have a Power Wagon and air down and up everytime I go "touring".

Fits in the storage bin as well.

Has anyone mounted an air tank behind the front bumper?
There is a ton of room.

I’ve used a Viair 400P with my Jeep for the last five years.

VIAIR 400P Portable Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X9AXR8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_r4owCb90GC0M8
I bought mine slightly used off the board at work for $125

It’s used to take my 33s from 10psi to 26psi after running off-road.
Takes me a little less 15 min to unload the compressor, air up 4 tires, and pack things away.
It’s been used about once a month for the last 4+ years and
I’m very satisfied.

FWIW, You can extend the air compressor intake. I did this with my Taco. It has 2 ARB compressors onboard, a twin for filling up tires and what not, and a smaller one under the hood dedicated for F&R lockers. The front one was in a place where the filter was not in a favorable location so I replaced the filter with an 18" stainless leader line that then went up and into a standard filter that was tied into a corner where it stays "cleaner" and I can easily clean it out.

Long story short, you can relocate the filter rather easily.

Filling to 30psi goes quick, it is the 30 - 60psi that takes forever.

On my 01 Ram 2500 "Power Wagon", 06 PW, 15 PW, and my 18 PW I got a kit that mounts a belt driven compressor under the hood. It doesn't use oil like the Yorks so you don't need an oil separator. You just have to pump grease into every 6 hours of running (I have a digital count meter mounted in the cab). It fills up a 5 gallon tank mounted on the frame. Will fill my 45s up from 15 psi to 60 psi in no time. When looking at compressors loo at the cfm rating. Make sure it doesn't say "cfm 4 @ 0". You want a high cfm number, for example "cfm 2 @ 40."

I have a viair 400p. It's not bad I use it occasionally. I timed a fill on my old 37s from 18psi to 42 it took about 5min. I originally bought it to air up after coming off the beach. It does the job but it takes awhile and gets super hot

I bought a jk mount and modified it. I moved the switch panel and mounted it on the airbox instead and put the mount on the front of the firewall by the passenger so I had something metal to mount it to

Let me begin by saying I did not/do not want to look at a permanent mounted solution.

Okay then. For the wife's jeep I got the bigger of the two offerings by Smittybilt:

https://www.smittybilt.com/product/index/32.htm

That url was to smittybilt's website but I might have gotten it through amazon or 4WheelParts, I can't remember.

Used it a couple times on the trails, and use it often at home in the driveway. Love it. Super powerful. Fast inflation. It's large and heavy so it can handle better the heat than a small plastic one could.

Didn't like that it had to clip to the battery, but previous lighter wieghts have burned out all my cigarette lighters over the years so now I welcome that it has to clip to the battery. I got used to that, you can too.

If its just for tires I have one of these. Its a bit slow, but gets the job done. The lithium batteries have a guage on them to show charge level and have the same battery as my cheaper impact that I keep in the truck as well.will fit on the floor behind the seat.15497379925023045182488932853108.jpg 15497381115842964205696059195584.jpg
