Anyone have any exp with the posi-lok system over the stock vacuum system?

I mean it's only like a $50 difference between the two but I figured I'd see if anyone had done this before&how they felt about it

I have not installed one but many have, some swear by them others hate them. So 50/50 call. Me never, I have no problems with the cad system at all never once.

As Merc said its hit or miss. Most people who don't like it say they have to fiddle with it to engage sometimes. I've never had a problem with the stock setup either.

you'll only have to fiddle if the splines aren't lined up just right. So move like an inch and it'll lock in.

Seems simple right sooooooo. ..... many don't get it. Or the bushings for the axle shafts are shot to **** and there is a misalignment problem. Making it hard for the collar to slide over.

Yep I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have the whole axle apart and everything was in great condition lol

Never had a problem with the cad system personally. I also like the convenience automatic locking hubs. I lime being able to just throw in 4wd and go.

It's all nice to have a manual lock and know it's engaged but the auto is always nice. But solid shafts and manual locking hubs would be my sweet spot either way. But with everything working stock there is no reason to swap.

Manual hubs for the dodge dana 44 is not a cheap venture, only a couple of kits out the to make it possible and well over a grand cost wise. For the dana 60 you can do a Ford 60 knuckle and hub swap but only for certain years.
