I am a newbie here - but I currently have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I have been contemplating trading it for an F150. However, I attended NE Auto Show this weekend and saw the 2013 Ram 1500 at the show - and it was beautiful! I need to go and test drive one, but it is high up on my list now over the F150 on looks alone.

I joined this forum to obtain more info on the 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie and I also wanted to see more pictures of your new rides - so I think there should be a picture sticky for 2013 Ram 1500.

Post up your pictures!

lots of pics already posted on the forum, I really hated the tranny in the ford. Plus it lagged in power to me. I loved the interior upgrades on the Ram. Plus the Sport model Exterior is awesome. So RAM Sport CC 4x4 was for me

Thanks Boomer...I saw a pic of your truck that you posted..very nice! While there are pics of trucks on the forum - they are not separated by year - so have to try and find pics of 2013 trucks from the whole group. I thought it might be easier to start a 2013 pic string - but if other don't agree no worries.

When I was in the market I tried to keep a open mind. Have always liked the Ram bodystyle since it was introduced in '94 and got hooked on the interior of the '12 when I was looking last year. Heard of the upgrades for the '13 so I figured I would look. Couldn't even consider the '12 once I sat in a '13. Then it happened, you know, when you are walking the lot and you see a truck that gives you a chub! I just couldnt shake it though I did go look at Chevy and GMC, I had to have this '13 Sport CC 4X4!

Loving every minute of it so far.

I was thinking Ford since we buy a crap ton of them and get special pricing on them, but then looked at the Ram and knew there's NO way I'm driving the Ford.

I do like the power train options on the Ford though. More choices.

I'm waiting to order the CC Sport 4x4 with air ride and the A8 transmission.

My twin. Dude I traded my Jeep wrangler in for my 400hp Dodge hemi and I love it. I hated the Jeep, God I don't miss that thing at all. Furthermore, I have been a Ford guy my entire life, but Dodge makes a better truck these days period. Test drive both and you will know end of story. Power, Comfort, and better drive over rough road goes to Dodge hands down.

The only thing I am not comfortable with is the front suspension, it looks cheesy to me, there are a lot of small parts that I wouldn't trust if I was wheeling. It drives fine, even with a heavy bumper upgrade. I didn't even look at Ford, maybe they are the same there too. if I was ever to be wheeling, I think I would put a solid axel in the front. I'm getting older and those days are behind me. I have 4x4 mostly for snow trips.

Other then that, this Dodge is my favorite vehicle of all time, a honor that previously belonged to a Ford Bronco that I also loved like a child! Buy the Dodge, you will not miss that POC Jeep I promise. Ford still makes a good truck, just not as good as the Dodge. You really can't go wrong either way, I would never say anything against Ford, but please don't buy a Chevy, I was stupid enough to buy three Chevy's even though they all failed me, and after the last one I would never buy that Garbage again.

Wow so that's 3 of us here who have or are about to trade a wrangler in on a ram. I just got rid of my jeep tj lifted/33s etc for the 11 ram sport. I am not a brand guy, so I test drove everything. F150, sierra, Titan and tundra. Ended up coming down to tundra and ram. Ram drives so much smoother and gets a little better mpg. I say go for the ram, I'm very pleased with the purchase! I'll never drive a wrangler again that's for sure.

No one has the air ride though huh?

I am ordering mine with it. I only keep my vehicles 3-4 years (50,000 miles) max so I don't have to worry about long term issues.
