Buddies truck. Broke his 4wd shift actuator. Bent my rear receiver trying to yank him out. Broke another buddies cv joint and I had to pull him out. Got a skip loader stuck, guy had no idea what he was doing. Ended up taking a jeep with a winch and the skip to get him out. Midnight till around noon the following day.

Well I don't have pics of the one by my daughter bought about a 2000 Xterra that had almost 200,000 miles on it when she was 16. My son was 17 and I had my 2007 1500 with the 4.7 and 3.92s. So one day they get out of school and they call me asking if I was busy. I told him I just finished washing my truck and asked why. He told me they got the Xterra stuck. She had just bought it a couple days before. So after I lecture him I drive out and its back a narrow quad path. What happened was they drove back there and decided it was too narrow and tried to turn around and backed down a slight slope but then the 4WD wouldn't work and it just slid backwards. He said they were scared to call me and called a tow truck and when he told them where they were they said no way...lol. So I got it out but made them wash my truck when we got back.

Years ago in my wilder days I had a 1979 GMC 1500 with a 350 I had rebuilt a couple months earlier that was a little warmed over. We left a bar one night and I had a few too many (yeah I was that dumb back then (~1991)). So there was a long narrow hole that I decided to blast through. My buddies said I had to have been turning 7000 RPM when I hit it...lol. It stalled about 5' in. It wasn't that deep but hitting it at that speed killed the engine. My buddy tried to pull it but his clutch was already fried and it just kept slipping. Called my cousin the next morning that had a ~1986 F250 (yep, we left it there all night). He came out and pulled it out. My battery was dead and I had a bent pushrod. Went and bought a new battery and replaced the pushrod out in the strip mine and stayed there all day. Another buddy showed up with a brand new 1991 F150 manual trans and went through the small puddle next to the one I had been stuck in. His axles got hung up and he got out with the truck still in gear and his tires spinning...lol Took 2 of us to pull him out. Then I went and did the same thing...lol. But I did get revenge on the big hole later. Went back through with no trouble but I went slow this time. A few days later my starter died so had to replace it. I had pics somewhere and still might. I'll have to look for those. My cousin that pulled me out with his F250 died a few months ago at 46 of a heart attack

Love the stories!
I also learned my lesson hitting puddles entirely to fast. The same puddle that bogged my buddies 2500 got me about 10 years back. Hit it doing about 30 in my 00 Tundra, made it about halfway through before my engine gave out. When it failed to fire up I hopped out into the now oil covered muddy water. Looked underneath and there it was, one of the connecting rods snapped off and punched through the oil pan. Seized 2 of the cylinders. 270 mile tow back home, man do I love AAA premier. Tow cost nothing but a new reman engine was just under 3k.

Yeah that sucks. I used to build my own engines and used to drag race and always built them right so I wasn't too concerned with the bottom end. That motor probably only had about 1000 miles on it at the time. It was probably pushing about 300-325 HP which back then was quite a bit for a 350 Chevy. It was stock except a small cam, aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. Had headers and duals too.

Tried to blast through a muddy ditch. Instead it just plowed the front into the ditch wall. Barely got out of the wet clay mud with the stock tires
