I currently have a 1998 Ram 1500 with the 3.9L V6 engine. I have the opportunity to get a 4.7L V8 block (needs some work and I know I will need the wiring harness and ECU and some other stuff to go with it). I have the five speed manual. I have been told that it is the NV3500. I know it's not the best transmission and the from what I have researched, the 4.7L will eat up that transmission. My question is will the 4.7L bolt up to that transmission or would I need to get a new transmission to do this swap.
Edit: I hope I am posting this in the right spot.
