Almost totalled it!

I rebuilt the brake lines on my boat trailer a couple years ago. Had to order a roll of copper plated steel line and a flaring tool kit.

When I finished the job, I was trying to find a spot to store the new kit, where I would be able to find it next time.

When I crawled up onto a foot stool to access "the spot", and found 2 big rolls of line and 2 flaring kits in it. One kit was about 15 years old and the other about 8.

Now I have 3 kits in that spot.

I find old line seems to get brittle after a few years, you need a tool cabinet,
Maybe a nail on the wall so the line is in plain sight.

I had to build a bigger shop one time because I ran out of wall space to hang stuff. Wife said I should toss some of it. What a strange idea.

I wonder around in circles most days, that's good exercise, and you are always close to home .

Years ago, I forget maybe 15-20 years or so. We had a Ford P/U in the shop. The brake hose going to the ABS had gone bad, and there was a braided flex line attached. Of course it was No Longer available. I have a BrakeQuip crimper. I cut the steel tube, put on a tube nut, flared it, then made a braided line to finish it. It was a city owned work truck. They were happy it didn't total because of a line!

I had to build a bigger shop one time

As of a couple weeks ago, my house is empty, my shop is empty and all my stuff is in a cargo trailer and 2 storage units, in the town I'll be moving to in 2 months.

And I will definitely be building a big shop.
