Power folding mirrors?

I currently have tow mirrors but they aren't power folding. What would be involved for changing them? I don't mind the current mirrors, but I am disabled and power folding would be great when parking or going through a car wash. Thanks in advance.

Need power fold mirrors, new door modules and alfaobd to program your truck to operate the mirrors. Oh, also need new door button module that has power fold option. I changed from standard mirrors to power fold tow mirrors and it was well worth it. If someone from this forum lives close enough they could program the features for you if you don't want to buy alfaobd and the obd2 adapter.

How much money are we talking about? I don't want to have to buy the alfaobd and adapter. If someone was within 3 hours of me I would just do a day trip and have lunch while I am out. Were they hard to install?

Not hard at all, but you have to get a new door module for power folding feature and new door switch with powerfold buttons. Don't think the module or door switch were too expensive. If someone has alfaobd they can program it for you.

I would buy the Mopar Brace for Tow Mirrors
It helps to keep the Mirror Glass from shaking & making the Mirror Image Shaky

I got some for mine, but still didn't put them on. I very rarely put them into tow position as they stick out far enough to see pretty well. If anything I will sometimes flip them for backing into a spot. Mine are pretty steady,but if I were to drive with them out I'd only do that with the braces on there. I actually may do it next weekend before my next camping trip.

Just a quick question... What if I bought used power mirrors, modules and the switch. Would I still need the programming? Everything is about $635 from rockauto but I would still have to program. Buy used for about the same price with no programming. Or is the programming for the main computer and not the modules?

The programming is for your BCM (Body control module). Stores many of the add ons, lighting options, radio, mirrors, etc. So you'll still need to program your truck to use the features. It's fairly easy and quick if you have AlfaOBD or know someone that has it.
