Hi,

I recently installed refurbished bosh 4 port injectors and the truck starts, idles smooth but has very little power. to get it going I almost have to floor it.

I've checked the connectors to make sure they are plugged in the right order. Anything else that might cause this? There are two connectors near the throttle body that I disconnected for better access and I plugged those back in, I assume they have different sockets and I didn't switch those around.

No fault codes

Anything else I should look for?

Thanks!

Air pocket? Did ya purge or bleed the intake runner? I’m no fuel injection tech or anything near this. I am building a race car for my son and it’s injected. So I’m following the thread incase I have a similar problem.

I don't think you need to bleed them. it starts, idle is smooth just lacks power. no lean or rich error codes. only thing I can think of is the some of the injectors got cross wired and are gasing out of sequence. my cables are not labeled but they *look* to be in the right order on the harness (they are plugged in one after another in the order they leave the harness).

ok, I think I may be onto something. When I replaced the injectors I was operating the throttle wide open, looking at the plenum and recall it snapping back once and maybe it's cable is off track or something? the pedal seems to have a lot of play upwards, so I am thinking this might be linkage related and the engine simply isn't getting throttle (air).

I will check it this afternoon.

As I suspected the cable had jumped from under a black plastic guide to over top of it. it's nice and powerful again :)

I'm glad it was an easy fix. Them wires can be sneaky sometimes.
