Power steering problem

Ok so I bought an 02 1500 4x4 quad cab 4.7 magnum I love the truck but it seems I have no power steering. Very hard to turn into parking spots or get out of parking lots. Runs and drives great steers very nice as long as it's rolling. Is this a common problem with these trucks or is my power steering pump bad? It doesn't leak or whine and I haven't done any exploring to diagnose it yet just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

Sounds like a pump problem, don't know how to go about troubleshooting never had one go bad.

How many miles, need to separate problem. Steering rack or pump. There are others on the forum who can give you more specific inspection advice.
