Has anyone had problems with their winch mine failed the first time I used it and Ram will not replace it under warranty on my 2022. Very familiar on the use of a winch but never had one let me down. So I get to drive around like this

I would try a different dealer. Doesn’t make sense they don’t warrant it. I’ve not heard of any failures.

Called customer care and still denied their claiming abuse. Used it like it was designed heard an unusual noise and it stopped working. So far no luck truck only has 8000 miles on it. Even purchased extended warranty I guess it doesn’t matter.

something does not sound right. these are covered under the 3/36000 warranty. there must be signs of abuse. Can you post photos? being in FL any chance it was submerged in salt water?

Try calling Warn and see what they have to say. [email protected] or 800-543-9276
Explain what Ram is doing and I'm sure they won't like it. I'm willing to wager they'll make it right!
They have an authorized Service Center in Orlando

If three entities are claiming abuse caused it, I'm curious as to what you were doing with it that they consider abuse.

Would like to hear why they are denying a warranty claim.

Yes, it’s been frustrating going on for weeks now fighting back and forth. Horrible to see that they will not stand behind their 3 year 36,000. First Dodge I owned drove many for work and had all the service done on them. Never had issues until I purchased my own.

Love to winch is proprietary to Dodge so they can’t touch it.

They were just passing the buck and told me to go back where I purchased it. They were the once that claimed abuse never removed the unit to inspect just did a visual and no one has yet explained the abuse but know they are calling it outside influence.

Wow. Still curious as to what you were doing when it broke like that, not saying you did anything wrong but just for my own "what ifs".

Normal use had a strap around a tree cable to u-clamp hooked up controller had damper on the attached winch rope pushed the button watched it tighten up began to bog down then heard a pop and a snap truck never moved left me now attached to a tree under tension. The winch wouldn’t move. Just a freak thing is all I can guess.

Regardless of what you were doing, the housing gave out before the motor stopped. I don't know how they can claim abuse. you can watch the videos on YouTube of one of the Ram engineers winching the truck over boulders. unless you hooked the winch to a crane and picked it up, I would say that they're just being a-holes.
