Yep Thats usual with a lot of them. I'm not bustin your chops......it's a royal pain in the ass......It aint as easy as people say either...
Found out my exhaust is a flowy cat back but it wasn't the stainless one. Also whoever installed it installed it off center so the wonderful mounting brackets don't work.

Mine doesn't. Dropping the truck off at the shop while I'm in NC for Christmas. Gonna let them install a Super 10 instead of the 50 right now. Original owner didn't remove the stock exhaust when he installed the flow so I have 2 mufflers in line right now lmao.

Whoa! What kind of miles do you guys have on your trucks? I didn't see it listed in the original post for the truck we are primarily discussing.
My '07 1500 Sport QC 4x4 with 5.7 and all that is approaching 98k miles and has been THE MOST reliable vehicle I have ever owned. And I have gone through A LOT.
We purchased it new back when they were offering the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty to move trucks during the big slow down, and as it was primarily my wife's daily driver, grocery getter, kiddie wagon, vacation tow the boat, light recreational off roader and all of that, I was on a hard line NOT to modify it in any way to maintain the warranty forever. I wanted Dodge to buy me a full powertrain in ten years Lol after letting her suck up all this fuel with stop and go short hop driving.
Turns out, I've only gone through two sets of tires, two sets of front brake pads, one rear set and a whole lot of fuel. Other than regular oil and filter changes, it hasn't needed anything else. The original serpentine belt even looks fresh and pliable. The original trans fluid is still clean and without unusual odor.
Of course, it turns out in the fine print, a dealership inspection is required every five years to maintain the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. After Five years, I took mine in Six weeks late and Dodge flat voided my warranty. No if's, ands or Butts... BAM.
Still a great truck, but with the warranty out the window, I laugh that I held back for the first time in my life, not even adding a K&N filter.
Granted, it is a So Cal truck, from the high desert. So rust is a non-issue up to this point. But, what are you guys doing to feel they need all this work done?
